Invoice software

Hi

I am new to this forum. I am a freelance bookkeeper with several small to medium sized clients. I have been doing this for 15 years and finally have found out about this forum!

Can anyone help with the following?

I am looking for invoicing software as I do not like the Sage invoicing system. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am trying out Express invoice and I like the invoice layout etc but it seems that you have to print invoices one at a time and for reports I would like a report to show all product items for all customers - not just one customer at a time.

Thank you

I also use QuickBooks for invoicing. I like the reports and the layout of the invoices. It's also much easier to customise invoices in QB than in Sage

Not like me to recommend QB but on this one point I do think it beats Sage hands down

Have a look at quickfile.co.uk. It started life as a basic invoicing software but has grown into a full cloud bookkeeping package, but best of all... It's free.

I work for a company called Fortnox, which recently opened offices in the UK. Fortnox is cloud based, just like the above mentioned Quickbooks and if you are still looking you may want to give it a try for comparison.

Apparently Quark Express can be set up for invoicing and will link to Excel to automatically update spreadsheets. Not tried it yet myself though but had a couple of recommendations for it.

Thanks for all the replies.

I will try to find the time to give these all a look. I really cannot get my head around QB as I am a long time Sage user and can do all the data entry etc without thinking. For QB you approach it totally differently and when I had one client using this - a few years ago now - I got so stressed he bought Sage in the end!! Probably in part because I went in one day a month to do all the data entry and reports so each month seemed like starting from new! I am still going in once a month and he has just switched to Xero so I am now trying to get used to that. So far so good although he does all the invoicing so I have not yet used that funtion. I shall have alook on Monday as I am there then.
