Link Mailing Systems Scam

Had a call from these when I first started my job back in October. They start the call with 'Hi could you check how many franking machine cartridges you have left' and make it sound like you have used them previously.

I said we were running low and they sent us some out in the post! They must have already knew our address. We have noe had these cartridges picked up and will not be paying their extortionate invoice.

I had a look online and found a thread on them with lots of people saying they too were conned by them. They apparently buy your company information to enable them to cold call.

We had this problem too. They asked if we needed franking labels which we did. I asked if they were calling from Pitney Bowes and they said yes so we ordered them thinking we would pay the usual price. We then got an invoice for £200. Luckily, they record all their calls so when I called to complain they realised that the saleswoman had told us they were Pitney Bowes so credited the invoice. They still phone us up asking if we need more labels though, but the answer is always a resounding 'No!'

I hope something is done about this company. I can't believe they said they were Pitney Bowes.

I said that I was new and to bear with me I would check. I feel that them knowing I was new they took advantage. I never even said ' Yes we need cartridges send us some out' I just said yes we were running low. She didn't even ask how many I wanted just sent 4 out!
