look at the flouresent lettering on the podium which is partially obscurred by someone's head and shoulder....
What do you think that the full message might be!!!!!
Now that's a speaker who doesn't respect their audience! lol
p.s. the real message is on the poster behind the speaker. But that accident is soooo funny.

HI!
This is worth a read. Have you ever been given great advice that's made a difference? http://www.businessinsider.com/linkedin-best-advice-2013-2?0=careers
Two that stand out for me are:
Do you want to be the worlds best kept secret?
You can never be an expert at everything - that's why experts exist
Sonya
Well, for me the one that stands our is 17 : "Follow your instincts' shouldn't be confused with 'trust your gut,' 'ignore reality,' 'rely on your sniffer' or 'go for glory.' The rough translation is 'do your homework well, analyze things carefully, assess the options but eventually trust your judgment and have the courage of your convictions - even if they are unpopular."
Other one's that resonated with me were :
13 "choosing the right job was not a sudden lightning bolt of realization, nor was it for most of us something we knew we wanted to do since we were kids. Rather, it was a process of trial and error - a voyage of discovery" That one's quite apt for me
16 "just pull yourself up by the bootstraps and move forward" now that one is advice that I give people a lot.
26 "in the beginner's mind, the possibilities are endless. In an expert's mind, the possibilities are few". Good point and I identify with the issue there of seeing the problems more clearly than the opportunities.
34 the stop listening to those who haven't done it telling you that you can't because they didn't is sound advice.
42 "Don't care more about your client's problem than the client does" now that one is definitely profound advice for all of the members of the site
And on a personal rather than business note,
33 "pack half as much stuff as you think you'll need, and twice as much money" is the perfect rule for travelling. It actually got to the stage with me that I don't pack any more than I can fit in a bag that you can take on the plane which makes you first out of the airport.
And one that was sadly missing from the list but I would have used....
"Rome was not built by having meetings, it was built by killing everyone that opposed it"
Thats not suggesting that we should go out killing peope but rather the corporate mentality of all decisions must be made by concensus is for business a death by a thousand cuts (who hasn't been in meetings that are the equivalent of deciding on the colour of the deckchairs on the titanic as it is sinking!).
Good call Sonya, liked it. Much better than the normal Linkenin helpful advice about inviting yoga instructors to meetings and holding them in the virgin islands... Thats not kipnapping the yoga instructor and abducting them to the Virgin islands you understand! (there's a clue there to one of those that I follow, lol).
