Hi

It has occured to me that I have dived straight in to the forum and started answering questions without introducing myself. How rude - please accept my apologies.

Here's a bit about me.

Just over ten years ago I gave up the corporate life and decided to put my experience to good use as a freelance bookkeeper. My practice grew into a great team of bookeepers and we provided outsourced bookkeeping services to a diverse range of businesses.

Last year I decided to concentrate on providing training support and guidance to people who have, for whatever reason, taken on the role of bookkeeper and need a bit of a boost to their skills and confidence.  I work with business owners (or their partners), and with members of staff whose are keen to keep accurate bookkeeping records and comply with HMRC regulations but are not quite sure how to go about it.

Although I have used mainly Sage and Quickbooks in the last 10 years, I am getting to know and like Kashflow and Xero and I am finding this forum very helpful and informative with regard to these programs.

I am following the forum on Twitter and hoping to help out occassionally if I can.

Twitter, urghh... Way too few characters to play with.

Welcome the forum. I'm sure that you'll enjoy the chat on here which just occassionally even talks about bookkeeping... Not for very long though.

all the best,

Shaun.

Hi Shamus

Aww, I like talking about bookkeeping!
Though if this weather ever picks up, I might start talking about my garden.
