HMRC Agents - judged on their performance
Permalink Closed

Just had a quick look at

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/agents/strategy/agentview.htm

and see Agents are going to be judged on their performance.

HM Revenue & Customs' (HMRC's) 'agent view' will bring information together about agents and their clients' filing, payment or compliance performance.

How can Agents be held accountable for their clients payments? Agents can only tell their clients when something has to be paid and the penalties for not paying by that date.

I am looking forward to when the "Business Tax Dashboard" is available for Agents.

Hi Peasie,

have a read of this :

The posters on Aweb basically agree with you / us. What is it to do with the agent when the client ignores them.

The worst part is that if a client causes the agent to be picked up by this then HMRC will also look closely at all of the other clients and that's going to reflect on the agent.

I really wish that people would stop tinkering with things that are not broken and concentrate on fixing the more difficult issues that are.
