fee for closing down Ltd company

I have been asked by a client to close down his Ltd company so that he can be a sole trader from now on.  How much would you charge to do this?  Obviously the final accounts would be one cost but how much would you add on to handle the closure?  Thanks

Depends what work is involved in the closure.

If there are assets that need to be distributed after settling all debts then might be a bit of work to be done and would fee £350-£500.

If there are net liabilties then may need assistance of an IP to wind up which is something you probably dont need to get involved in.

If there is nothing in the company and it dormant and just needs to be closed down then the companies house fee is £10 and I would probably charge £50 for the appropriate form filling and notifying the appropriate parties eg HMRC, directors, shareholders.

Regards

Mark

It's the latter, so not much to do. Thanks for your reply.
