Hello my name is Andrew and I have just joined the forum today and thought I would introduce myself.
I started my working life working in a small factory office doing mainly admin work and then moved on to the main office where I was responsible for wages , PAYE, Cash Books ( old Scottish type !) Credit Control, purchasing, VAT and many other admin duties. When the factory closed, not due to anything I had done with the accounts I hasten to add, there was still plenty of money in the bank and no debt !, I then moved on to work for a firm of chartered accountants for & years as an accounts assistant preparing accounts and tax returns for all sorts of businesses from sole traders to non audit limited companies. I am now in the process of becoming a self employed bookkeeper and have joined the forum for help and information and if possible to help others wherever possible.
