I have a new client who wants me to submit RTI online. But as they have only just come to me I do not have any authorisation in place at present. Will this stop me submitting online for them from 6 April?
I also have another client who is CIS registered, but usually do an inactivity request for 6 months at a time. How will this be affected by RTI?
As far as I'm aware, CIS is not affected by RTI, I don't see how it would as its done monthly anyway...
And you have to have a 64-8 in place for talking about the client in general terms, and for PAYE. Why HMRC need you to have two is beyond me, it's like the PAYE department is a separate entity from HMRC! Lol
If the client ends up getting fined what I would do is write a simple letter to HMRC asking them to remove it as you had the authorisation in place it just had not cleared. I did it for someone for the end of the tax year in jan, they over turned the fined and he walked away Scott free, just because of a letter I wrote... :)
