".....HMRC have committed to improving information and guidance for taxpayers and also to developing their guidance and training for staff. In addition, they will not revise the scope and terms of the concession at this stage; instead, they will monitor the application of the concession before making any changes to it."

There ought to be less need for the concession in future, but RTI can hardly be said to have already been used by HMRC to improve PAYE accuracy. 

Also, it is being reported that employees overwhelmingly support more regular PAYE reporting but not as many as employees who think it is unnacceptable for HMRC to make mistakes with income tax.

I too support more regular PAYE reporting - say every 6 months with 6 weeks to file ;o)
