I finally took the plunge and joined the forum today after much reading and lulling around the internet looking at course providers and the different bookkeping bodies etc. I have so much to ask (and learn) so expect many questions from me.
I've been toying with the idea of becoming a bookkeeper for a couple of years now. I never showed any interest in facts and figures until I became the treasurer of a small charity about 4 years ago with no previous experience or knowledge of bookkeeping - other than how to keep detailed and accurate records of anything. Needless to say I feel I have come a long way in the 4 years, learning and understanding how VAT partial exemption works is probably my best achievement considering previous (more experienced) treasurers tried and failed!
Anyway, I know I still have much to learn and am looking forward to the journey, with some help from the people on here of course
Hope that you enjoy posting on here and get to pick up lots in the process,
kindest regards,
Shaun.
