Transferring sage nominals

My client currently runs Sage 50 Accounts 2009) and we have over 20,000 entries on the system.  The nominals have been changed slightly  from the standard Sage as we align the accounts with Trafiic Studio Management software.  Contemplating upgrading S+

age to professional and starting from scratch but wondered if we can import the old nominals (380 in all) from the old sage into the new to save setting them all up again.  We are quite prepared to re input customers and suppliers as there are several on the old system that are now dormant.

Are you able to restore the 2009 back up into the new version, and then do a rebuild to wipe everything except the nominal codes?
