Newbie book-keeping question but if a one-man ltd company pays himself a partial dividend of £9k in a year, what happens to this £9k on the Balance sheet?
Assuming that it's not physically paid at the time (in which case, the bank would be credited), the dividend will be credited to the director's loan account. The debit side would go to dividends, which is a reserves movement.
