I would like to ask you a question. Is this uncommon for people in UK to do not full time job in accountancy field ? Is it really seldom that people work 4 hours a day or 6 hours a day in accounting field in UK?

Hi,

its called part time work and sometimes you will see work advertised as school hours so that employee's are able to work around childcare commitments. School hour contracts are usually 6 hour days

You need to be very experienced with a sought after skillset in order to win those roles which often pay a far lower equivalent hourly rate than standard working days as business is doing the employee a favour by working around the employee's availability.

The norm still seems to be a standard working day

Shaun.
