VT newbie - need extra info on printouts
Permalink Closed

I'm new to VT and there are a number of things I would like to able to print and don't know how to do it.

Print out a nominal, say queries, and the printout show which bank account the transactions were from. In the old days we could just print it and the bank a/c info was always a godsend, could just send it to client.

Print several nominals in one go, ie say repairs, light & heat and sundries ( in sage you just highlight the one's you want) . I can only find the option to print individually.

Print in the order the transactions were posted, and between transaction numbers. The transaction numbers must be living somewhere ............

Sorry if these are dull questions. I would like to go on a course or just be able to ring up VT but 'not allowed'no

Thanks in advance for your help

I am curious, why aren't you allowed?

I have asked for those 'in charge' of software within the company to find out how I can get what I need.

I was told that those with contact to VT was limited within the company so that was why I was not allowed to phone VT. That of course would be fine but I'm no further on as they're so busy that nothing has been done.

Got to say I'm happy with Sage printouts. Can phone them get exactly what I need and find their staff exceptionally good.

You pay your money and take your choice.

The reason that calling VT is centralised with one person is that the first five calls are free and thereafter you are charged. They are really useful if you have to call them and for the amount that one generally needs to call them its much cheaper than Sage or Intuit support arrangements where you pay a fixed fee regardless of the number of times you call.

The issue here seems to be with your company and it needs to be escalated that you are unable to process your work due to a bottleneck in the internal processes. Personally I would email the boss of the person who is the manager of the one causing the bottleneck.

... not an advisable approach if you are adverse to confrontation.

Then again, you have to do something as you are responsible for your work and others are coming between you and your ability to do it.
