Moving Sage

I'm building a new computer for work, but I need to make sure everything is up and running fine before swapping the PC's over so part of this would mean installing sage, which is a single user version, on to the second PC at the same time as it being installed on the first. Will there be any problems with this like it de-activating on one of the computers and such like?

This would be the same question for sage payroll however I need to ask, will there be an issue with data on payroll or will it be a case of install the software and run restore from the most recent back up and evrything be fine?

I don't know about Payroll, but I have moved Sage from one laptop to another with out any problems in the past. Infact I still have it installed on my old laptop which is my spare one now. Just make sure you take a couple of back ups before you do anything and maybe leave it on the old PC for a while afterwards just incase of any problems.
I'm sure it will be fine.

Maybe someone will be on here later regarding Payroll.

Nope won't be any issues with the first version deactiviating itself, however you may be breaching Sages licence terms having it running on two pc's at once.

Same with sage payroll, you can do a backup and restore to the 2nd version.

Thanks both of you, I sort of figured it would be ok but had to make sure, it's one hell of a lot of work to lose :)

I will take a lot of backups like you say Amanda :)
