Concentrate on the wholly, necessarily and exclusively arguement combined with the prominent motif arguement.
If the suit does not carry an identifying motif then its not allowable,
Hope that helps and welcome to the forum,

I understand that you can claim VAT on uniforms related to the worklplace i.e. Work Overalls, t-shirts with company logos.
What are the rules for general clothing? For example if the nature of the business was meeting Clients on a day to day basis. Would the Purchase of a Suit Shirt Tie trousers etc be a) a taxable expense and could you claim the VAT?
There are some that seem lost forever though in that for the life of me I cannot remember a keyword that was definitely in a thread.
There's also the disappointment of remembering the perfect thread for a scenario then when you find it it isn't.

I used Gary's link as an example to a client. He's a fitness instructor so fair bit of scope for anything with a logo. I guess I'll be looking at goloshes, umbrella and embroidered wet suit next year.
And people laughed at me for wearing a wetsuit to the office Tim.
Seems that my fashiopn sense was just one step ahead of the bell curve...
I assume that you also wear the goggles, snorkle and flippers to the office... Its those little touches that really make you stand out from the crowd
