Just a note to introduce myself and say a big HELLO to everyone on this site.
I have a love / hate relationship with our company accounts.
Although my accounts hate me, I, on the contrary, perversely love accounts.
I was exceptionally good at maths at school and like to keep my brain exercise with numbers. I have totally useless skills like being able to remember Pi to 16 decimal places. It's just the logic that invariably beats me when it comes to certain processes in accounts.
I am one of those reluctants that leave their accounts to the last minute every year and then panic!
I use Sage 50 Accounts Plus and have Sage Extra cover. I use Tradebox to import Ebay and Amazon Sales as SI's into Sage and it automatically SR's the funds. It has saved us a LOT of grief.
I appreciate the fact that forums like this exist but until now have been a 'lurker' - never wanting to register.
I am happy to share knowledge that I learn once I am confident and to become an active member of any forum I join.
Many thanks for taking the time to read my brief intro.

Welcome to the site! We're a nice bunch, with a broad range of knowledge, as well as adverse opinions to really give you both sides of the scale.
I like to think of this place, as Tangent Central, as one conversation invariably sidetracks into others.. and sometime we just kid about! I'm finding much nicer than some of the other forums where people just argue with each other, or be condescending in their responses!
I am very interested to hear about tradebox. I currently bring in Amazon sales based on the fortnightly statement. It works for that particular client, who doesn't monitor day to day stock. How does it cope with foreign currency sales? Does it convert or do you need a special sage version to achieve that?

Michelle :)
Tangent Central? I'm right at home then.
We use Tradebox to automatically create customer accounts in Sage, create the invoices and sales receipt too. Child's play once you have it up and running right.
We do not monitor day to day stock. In fact, we don't even monitor it yearly!!!!
See my reply to your post re:- Foreign Sales and please take a look at my Sage quandry too whilst you're at it.
