Gross Pay v Taxable Pay

We are in the process of moving our payroll from Pegasus to Sage 50.  I've managed to get info out of pegasus ready for import into Sage, but I don't know if I need both Gross Pay ytd and Taxable Pay ytd.  I'm working on the assumption of Taxable Pay ytd as the difference is non taxable expenses which don't need to be reported to HMRC, can anyone confirm please?

 

Also how easy is it to import from exel all the data required to continue the payroll year with the new software?
