New laptop means new QB license ?
Permalink Closed

Hello.

Just a quick question if I am allowed.

If I want to change the laptop that I have installed QB on, do I have also to buy a new licence for the new laptop or call QB Guys and tell them that I run their software from another laptop ?

Many thanks,

Adrian

can't give you an answer from the perspective of having tried it myself but here's a link to the Intuit help page for moving your instalation to a new computer.

As I say, not something that I have done myself so don't know if it works (your supposed to be able to have your software installed on two PCs but when I tried it on a second it told me that I had installed on too many computers. I dodn't need the two (where I need VT on every machine) so made nothing of it).

here the link for moving it :

support.quickbooks.intuit.com/Support/Articles/SLN41363

Note that you will need to reregister your software on the new machine.

HTH for starters,

Shaun.

I have it on 2 Laptops, when I bought a new laptop I just ran the disc again and put it on the new one.
