ICB Global Bookkeepers Summit 2013 (Early Bird Tickets now on sale)

Howdy BKNers

As a course advisor for Training Link for many years I have seen the ICB go from strength to strength and seen how the Institute try to make inroads with problems that face the modern day Bookkeeper. I was proud to have been a visitor at the inaugural ICB Bookkeepers Summit and the endeavours of the ICB CEO Garry Carter and his team since that first summit have been impressive to say the least.

This year ICB Global will be holding their Bookkeepers summit in London on November the 14th at the Pullman Hotels conference centre in London.

Guest Speakers will include the following.

Garry Carter ICB CEO

Nina Mitchell, XERO

Jennie Cowles & Barbara Wilson, HMRC

Vickie Wood, BIS

Charles Counsell, The Pensions Regulator

And many more.

With tickets on sale now it would be good to see fellow BKN members at the event. By booking your place now you can take advantage of the ICB Early Bird tickets at £100 for members and £125 for non-members. There is also a members dinner laid on for only £40 which again is well worth attending. I would urge any BKN member to attend as not only are the covered topics there to enhance your knowledge but there are also fantastic networking opportunities.

For more information please use on following link

http://www.bookkeeperssummit.com/Home or call ICB Global on 0845 060 2345

Should you attend please come over to the Training Link stand and say hello. Hope to see some of your there.

Dave

What, no fancy hotel on the strand this year!

Good location though slap bang between Kings Cross and Euston so nice and handy for everyone to leave it until the last moment before pouring themselves out of the bar and onto their trains home (plus good tube and bus connections for all the locals).

Careful with the hotels around there though as a fair few of them on that stretch charge by the hour,

There is a really good Premier Inn almost opposit the place thats reasonably priced but if you want to get in there in November you might already be too late!

I won't be going but hope that everyone that does has fun (and if the beers too expensive there a Firkin pub between the venue and Euston so about a hundred or so feet away.... Sure thats where all of the training providers will be, lol).

Morning Shaun

The hotels conference room is really impressive and with no awards dinner in November don't think many will be staying the night at hotels, I know Training Link will be getting the train back after the conference, just get a couple of pints in with Nick from Premier and Neil should he be allowed to come. Cant believe a year has gone by already, why is it as soon as you hit 40 the years just seem to fly by? I know use the wrinkles on my face as a personal abacus lol,

Shame you cant attend Shaun as it would be great to see you there and besides that you get to meet mad Dave lol.

All the best mate and have a great weekend.

Dave
