just checked it out (not normally the sort of thing that I would watch).

Why would a chartered enter that? For that matter, why would anyone past their early 20's enter it?

Couldn't sing at all but at least he wasn't one of those to make a complete idiot of themselves.

Whilst I was watching it on the computer my boy was taking great interest. First in those two annoying girls (although I don't think that he was noticing them being annoying that much) and then in the chinese guy who really could sing.

My boy just sits back in his seat and proclaims with great pride "skill level Asian".

That follows on directly from him watching an episode of the Cleveland show where Donna sings the song about all children being useless at everything then at the end states "does not apply to Asian kids".

There's just no living with him at the moment.

Amazing how he chooses which racial trait is dominant dependant upon the situation!

Lol...kids hey...who'd have 'em.  It wasn't a very long clip was it and he didn't actually make a complete idiot of himself, but he couldn't sing.  And those two girls...how irritating were they!!  That Asian kid was really good though I agree and I actually liked that Senior Citizens group at the end

I was vaguely remembering a discussion once (can't remember if it was on this forum or not) about an accountant who said she'd done a song and dance at some event where a lot of her clients were present.

What is the Cleveland show Shaun?

lol Pauline,

You should know that all of the great discussions / debates / arguements / stand up routines are from this forum.

The one that you're thinking of was where I told the poster the she did not realise that her audience were laughing at her not with her and she was embarrassing herself and making a mockery of the profession.

See here : www.book-keepers.org.uk/t35657607/genny-jones-more-than-an-accountant/

Got to give it to her though, whilst I don't think that she should be involved in accountancy with that approach she is all over social media and her life coaching business seems to be doing well.

She's also been noticed on the BBC. See here : www.youtube.com/watch

love Dave Gormans parting shot after she reveals what she does for a living but I'll let you watch the video for yourself and see what you think.

Personally I've nothing against her and hope that she's very happy and successful in anything that she does... I just don't think that she should be doing it whilst referring to herself as an accountant in front of clients at an AGM.

Afraid that I didn't get all the way through to the end of the XFactor as had a pile of paperwork to do this afternoon so didn't see the old folks at the end.

Got time now but I'm going to make my boy watch Splash as he enjoyed watching Uncle Buck yesterday so we're having a short John Candy season (and I personally love the film Splash).

Cleveland show is another adult(ish) cartoon show from the makers of Family guy and American dad, Cleveland Brown used to be in the former of those shows and then got his own spin off show of its own.

Talk later,

Shaun.

Thats the one and as per my expectations at the end of the film he was sitting on the edge of his seat shouting jump you idiot at the screen (just as I did best part of 30 years ago when I first saw it.... lol. How many readers just had an OMG moment as to when they first saw that film).

On nth watch have to say that Tom Hanks character is a bit of a plonka... A gorgeous woman is throwing herself at you... for gods sake man you had sex on top of the fridge, stop overthinking everything and just shut up and go with it.

... mind you... don't listen to the guy with three divorces!.... Although might have been three different stories if we had had a lower fridge, lol

Lol...yes, I should have remembered really that it must have been on this forum!

Just watched that video....hmm...it actually did make me laugh. She did say that she "taught people accountancy" so is she just a trainer or is she an actual accountant? I agree with you that I don't think she should be doing it in front of clients at an AGM

Is Splash the film with Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah as a mermaid? Loved that too Rarely get time to sit down and watch a film from beginning to end these days.

You don't need a lower fridge Shaun, you just need to subtly introduce a small trampoline into foreplay!

Lol @ Rob

Our fridge/freezer almost touches the ceiling so even with a trampoline we'd have to be midgets!

We have a separate tall fridge and tall freezer, does that mean I get to go twice!

From where the thread is you need a ladder to get as high as the gutter....
