I think that it very much depends on the provider of the service as to how they sold the course. For example, if it was sold in its entirety regardless as to whether or not it was completed then they would be within their rights to take the whole sum so there would be no point cancelling the course.
As there are medical conditions attached to the failure to complete the course you should find that there will be some flexibility and a portion of the course could be reimbursed but that is very much between yourself and the training provider.
There may also be the option to defer the course until you are back on top of matters.
Is there anything that anyone here can do to help you?
Is what you really need an extra study buddy as the course isn't being communicated well? It should be relatively easy for us to find someone on a similar course who's at a similar stage to yourself? And if we can't find them we've got Dave and Nick and Sonya and Brian and Neil who have access to the motherload of students who may know of people who need study buddies.
Have you identified what it is thats causing the depression, anxiety and panic attacks? Not trying to be nosey and please don't post anything on here that you don't want to share but just wondering if its a specific person who is affecting your confidence as I've seen the effect that some overbearing personalities can have in the workplace.
If thats the case always remember that those who shout the loudest and pick the most faults are the ones trying to hide their own shortfalls behind an agresssive front.
As I say, anything that we can do to help just shout as we're always here to support each other as best we can.
kindest regards,
Shaun.

Hi does anyone know what happens if you cancel a 24+ advanced learning loan?
I haven't had a decision from them yet as I sent extra proof to them recently however I have taken a massive nosedive and have been signed off work due to severe depression, anxiety and panic attacks. I feel that the massive pressure of college has tipped me over the edge completely and would feel so much better if I could just quit the course.
Will I be charged for the full cost? I'm so worried.
I don't really have any suggestions on the advanced learning loan, but as Shamus suggests that sounds like a good starting point.
Just wanted to say that if you need anything then there's lots of people of here to help and support including myself so try not to worry about things and take each step at a time - and please do shout if you need anything.
