Listening to local radio on the school run this morning it was announced that Birmingham has the highest problem with rats in the UK.
They had some representitive from a local official body on the program who stated... wait for this...
The rat problem was good for the area due to the employment opportunities that it created in the pest control industry...
Even the presenter had to get them to repeat that.
That really was one was a pull over to the side of the road moments.
The previous one that stood out for me was when these childrens trading cards were at their height copies were flooding the market which was obviously hitting profits.
A representitive of the manufacturers came on TV saying that the reason that their cards were so expensive (think it was about £3 for 5 bits of card) was due to the stringent quality controls and that if children ate one of the immitation cards they could be poisoned and die so only buy the real cards from reputable high street retailers.
You just couldn't make this stuff up.
Anyone else got any head in the hands stories that just defy belief when you hear them?
