Got my head in a pickle about the best way to do this and wondered if anyone has come across this before.
One of my clients has recently incorporated and has now decided that he needs a new van for work, as he's having problems with his existing one. He's looking at leasing, but as a new Ltd company he's been refused credit, as he's not been trading for long. He's therefore wanting to take the lease out personally, but the van will only be used for business. He's VAT registered, so wondering how we can put this through the business accounts. Have thought of options such as directors loan, but am questioning myself and wondered if anyone could offer any advice. Obviously he's wanting to claim for the lease payments and the VAT.
