a word to use instead of testimonials on website??????
Permalink Closed

Hi I've got together some references to go on to my website. I'm not sure what to call the page? I don't like 'testimonials' the best I have come up with is 'recommendations' but what does everybody else call it?

As my site is quite basic and minimal I don't want to call the page a big long sentence such as 'what clients say'. I know it's ridiculous but it just wouldn't look right on the home page

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Thanks

RAchel

or 'clients' but as I have only asked for references from 4 of them, would this look like I only have clients?

thesaurus.com (thesaurus.com/browse/testimonial) offers the following synonyms:-

Main Entry:
testimonial  [tes-tuh-moh-nee-uhl] Show IPA

Part of Speech: noun
Definition: tribute
Synonyms: affidavit, appreciation, attestation, certificate, character, commemoration, commendation, confirmation, credential, degree, endorsement, evidence, homage, honor, indication, manifestation, memorial, memorialization, monument, ovation, plug*, proof, recommendation, reference, remembrance, salute, salvo, say-so, show, sign, symbol, testament, testimony, token, voucher, witness
Notes: a testament is a document in which something is testified to (will, covenant, book of the Bible); a testimonial is a written or spoken expression of regard for a person's service or accomplishments

But I quite like "Recommendations and Endorsements" as a heading, or "What Other [Clients] Say".

I prefer testimonials... but that's probably partly down to my BNI teachings too! lol
