field mappings in sage
Permalink Closed

Hi

I'm trying to import a report into sage as Audit Trail Transactions but I'm struggling when I get to the field mappings section. It's telling me that where there is an asterisk I need to enter a selection in the imported field column from the drop down box but I'm unsure as to what I should be entering here as the only option I have is to enter a letter ie A B C etc.

Hope someone can help?!!

thanks

Think of each field in a csv file as columns in a spreadsheet - in fact, load the CSV file into a spreadsheet. The first field is in column A, the second in column B, etc.

Now, in Sage's import field mappings, select the letter corresponding with the column representing the field in question.

For example, one of the fields will be the transaction date. If the date appears in (say) column E, then select E for that field.
