Subsistence - service charge query

Hi

One of my customers has given me some receipts for restaurants for when he was attending a trade fair in London (he lives in Manchester).  He has included a service charge on one, whilst the other has a service charge automatically added.  Do i ignore the service charge when claiming it back from his Limited company?

Hi,

My understanding is that if its a compulsory service charge then it's claimable/vatable but not if its given freely. Hope this helps!
