Amphenol is one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world, and a market leader within its sector. The Company designs, manufactures and markets electrical, electronic and fibre optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems.
As Finance Director for the UK manufacturing site for Amphenol Ltd, this role is part of the UK Senior Management team and will involve working very closely with the UK Managing Director.You will push performance levels to new heights, and deliver continuous improvements by partnering closely with all areas of the business.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing financial leadership and direction to the strong finance team,and will lead improvements in efficiencies across both the finance department and the wider business. Success will be measured by improved margins, increased turnover and profitability of the site. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a pronounced impact on the fortunes of an already successful business, both financially and operationally.

The position is based in Whitstable, Kent and will take responsibility for overseeing the entire finance and accounting function including but not limited to management of financial controls, process development and improvement and reporting for the business. The jobholder will also be responsible for ensuring the appropriate levels of financial stewardship to ensure that costs, tendering and margin management are tightly controlled. As part of a listed business the role must ensure reporting is accurate and timely as well as comply with group policies and procedures.
Who we're looking for
In order to be successful as Finance Director for this company, you will be a forward thinking and proactive leader, and a proven motivator of people. It is likely that you will have previous experience of working for a business where you have had exposure and influence over a highly efficient manufacturing or assembly processes with a strong understanding of operational success. Able to able to demonstrate leadership within a change management environment, you will relish this challenge and will be keen to shape and deliver improvements across the business.
Strong technical accountancy skills, coupled with a commercial business partnering mentality and outstanding financial stewardship will help ensure that you take responsibility and ownership for the numbers. It is likely that you will be formally qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) and will have the ability to find and deliver solutions to potential problems. Your ability to be a constructive part of the senior management team will be critical to your success.
