I'm doing a VAT Return for a client that uses Kashflow and when entering transactions there are only 3 tax code options i.e. 20%, 0% or n/a. I'm hoping someone will be able to advise me how to change/enter VAT at 5% for things like utilities.
Kashflow doesn't like it when you overwrite VAT amounts on transactions and has an annoying habit of changing it to what it wants it to be - which can be easy to miss if you busy posting transactions. I would therefore recommend creating the codes you want:
Go to Settings and scroll down to Configuration Settings and click on VAT Settings. In there you will see the option of VAT Rates where you can add or delete the different ones you need.
