My client has received an invoice from Adobe Creative Cloud. When entering it on to Kashflow, there is a difference in the amount of VAT that should be charged. My calculations and Kashflow's calculations match (£7.63) but the amount stated on the invoice is different (£8.76). Can anyone suggest a reason why and which do I go with? If I go with my calculation the total invoice amount obviously differs, if I go with there's the VAT return will be incorrect?
Really needed to know what the original figures were rather than just the VAT but quick thumb nail calc I think that the original VAT inclusive amount £45.78, yes?
Which country is the service hosted in? If Germany then isn't the VAT rate there 23%
Calculating that out (#1) I get it to £8.77 rather than £8.76 but it seems as though that may be your reasoning.
kind regards,
Shaun.
#1) 45.78 should be 7.63 VAT so £38.15 excluding VAT *1.23 = 46.92 - 38.15 = £8.77 (#2)
#2) Or indeed 46.92/1.23 = £38.15
