Thinking of doing IAB level 2. Just wondered who people were using as there training providers, been looking at some and think I have decided on one, but would like other peoples recommendations, experiences, value for money etc.
Apparently not, sorry you're not getting a reply to your question. I don't suppose you've considered ICB as an option? Their qualifications are aimed a very similar level. If that's not what you are after hopefully someone will jump in with some info on IAB study.
I find most IAB students are studying via colleges, or are too busy working to have time to use forums. All the IAB training providers are vetted - as the IAB have to provide a undertaking to OFQUAL that they vet the training providers. Also IAB qualification can be public funded, so again there is no need for many IAB students to discuss the best provider.
They also don't seem to need to ask questions as often as other students, which I think is also why you will find fewer on any forum.
Hello. We provide a free IAB course provider search at www.aq4b.com but this is only for the Computerised Accounting for business courses that the IAB offer. The folks at the IAB are very helpful and are happy to talk you through your requirements over the phone, and at which place would be best for you to study. If you visit their website www.iab.org.uk there is a nifty course search by location at the bottom of the full site page. Hope you find a provider soon.

Thanks for your help everyone, I think I have found someone who seems quite helpful if I do take the IAB route :)
Brian thank you for suggesting ICB also, but where they are changing there syllabus in April, its impossible to know what I would be learning with them at the moment! : )
Great to hear that it looks like you've found a solution re IAB study, which was your preference. Good luck with everything.
Re the ICB syllabus, covering the three level qualification structure you would learn the same whether you were studying the current format or the new format from 1st April. The overall syllabus is remaining the same. Here is a very basic overview of what is happening:
1.The qualification levels are being reclassified where the current I, II & III, will become Levels 2, 3 & 4, with 4 being a Certificate. Their current level IV qualification provides the Diploma qualification.
2.There is to be movement of topics between the three levels. For example, the subject of partnerships is being moved from the current Level III syllabus, to Level II (Level 4 to Level 3 in the new structure).
3.Students starting their studies before 31st March 2014 will be given until 31st March 2015 to complete their bookkeeping exams in the current structure. From 1st April 2015 the ICB will transfer all their Members to the new structure.
4.From our own perspective, any student who is registered by 31st March 2014 on a Membership Level course package, and is within their original course registration period of three years, if they fail to complete their bookkeeping exams before the 31st March 2015 deadline we will provide any relevant course updates without charge.
Sorry for the late reply, just doing a Sunday afternoon catchup of missed posts.
Figutit, if you have not found the right course yet give Sonya at Eagle education a call.
They are very well thought of in the training market and offer IAB as well as AAT courses.
kind regards,
Shaun.
