Just wondering how each of you is recording your time? Am getting to the point where a written record is no longer practical! Does anyone use software? Ideally Freeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Only down side to this an other such programmes is the time you have to spend inputting the customers/jobs/tasks etc etc...
But you can download a app for same progamme and hit start for the timer and when you end it it will add the time spent on the clients main dash board (in paymo)! :D
You want any more info let me know, been using it for a few months now.
I used to use Sage Timeslips. I've found links to it on Google, but it doesn't seem to be on Sage's web site, so no idea what the current position is. It probably shows how long a break I've had from doing this work! Anyway, despite a few quirks, I found it pretty good, and would assume it's better by now if it's still available. And if it's affordable, as I had a dealer copy!
Amphis Software (one of my favourite developers) have a free one called Amphis Time. Or you could join the revolution and charge fixed fees and bin the timesheets.

On my hours.com if you go into T & C's then it says you may be charged depending on usage?? So how do you know if when you sign up it is completely free?
The back buttons now very tempremental when I'm writing texts but that aside still excellent after seven years good service... And that includes having had the occassional bit of abuse of being picked up and thrown at the sofa when it wakes me up when I don't want to be woken up.
the press the number / someone speaks through the top bit wasn't mine by the way. Its a quote from Lena Hedley's Sarah Connor when a guy in the phone store is trying to sell her the latest phone. (Truly great series. We're now on our third time through it this year).

Excel has always worked for me. I use a windows phone, record on an excel spreadhseet on my phone and using the magic of skydrive, the updated spreadhseet is there on my computer. It can be manipulated as i want, and it doesnt cost anything more. Simples.
Doesnt link in to any invoicing software but you cant have everything. I have used Iris practice management , which is really really good, but really, really, really (you get the picture) expensive.

Edited: as" invoicing" came out as "boiling"??????

Hey darlings! Thanks so much for these ideas, I will have a nosey!
Sorry for late reply.... been renovating the house, and trying to fit work in around it, whilst constantly making sure my daughter is doing what she should be doing (GCSEs!)
