how can 15 year old get back tax paid in 2013-14

One of my clients employed a 15 year old for a Saturday job in March.  She was taxed on her first payment at the end of March as she was on 0T M1 tax code.  She called them yesterday to ask for it back and HMRC have now issued her with a tax code of 1000L for next year.  Am I right in thinking that she won't be refunded her tax from the previous year with that?  If not, how can she get a refund?  Thanks.

She needs to write to hmrc enclosing a copy of her p60 or p45 and request the refund back
