Can you really see most of our clients wanting to pay big four prices. Even the cut down ones that they believe are right for the SME market!
That said, KPMG are a great company. I spent years working with them and they've got some very, very clever people so maybe we are all doomed.... Now where did I put the number of their Human Resources department... Once I find it again I'll be selling a number and a name at £5k a shot. lol.

Maybe the sole trader kind of client will not feel so comfortable with their fees.
I just wonder if Xero will not do the work automatised enough in order to reduce the working time of Kpmg employees so their fees will drop per client.
But the advice and approach should still be different for each client so I don`t think they will charge £ 15 per hour.
Kind regards,
Adrian

The advantage of going to a big four is that HMRC will think that its too much like hard work to take on people who it would be non cost effective to try to beat. (especially as many KPMG tax managers are ex HMRC senior inspectors).
The disadvantage is that I would have money on it that when KPMG say they are going to play with the little companies they will still be expecting a substantial return on the investment of putting their name behind your business.
If you have a situation where the client enters all of the data into Xero and to get the service they sign agree that everything entered is correct and that the accountancy provider has no responsibility for incorrect entries then basically the whole process can be automated with the added advantage of PQ's learning their trade by fielding questions before moving up to Plc's.
Its all going to end up a numbers game with I would estimate an expected return per PQ of around £800 per day. Thats only 70 £3k clients a year or 140 £1.5k clients. Yes there will be other costs such as supervision and other management and technical expertise overheads that will push up the number of clients required per PQ but overall the concept seems quite viable and putting the name of one of the big four behind it they will get the numbers.

know what you mean. I love just grabbing my passport, credit cards a bit of cash and a carry on bag and disappearing off to check out the women in various countries... Still think that one of the most gorgeous women on the face of the planet was a waitress in a pancake shop in Edinburgh.
But, unfortunately that life doesn't mix well with single parenting with sole custody... and I wouldn't be single parenting with sole custody if I didn't keep chasing these women I meet on my Travels. On the bright side though, the older I get the harder it is to catch them. lol.
Have fun in Edinburgh.
Shaun.

This is how I ve got last summer to Calais.
When I left home I was heading for Canterbury and it all transformed into an adventure route across the channel.
This way I ve seen there is only one hostel in Calais, just one, Auberge de Jeunesse, and of course it was full.
Had to pay for a room at a hotel.
Tomorrow evening around this hour I`ll get to Edinburgh after 10 hours bus ride.
My best memories comes from travelling.
All the best,
Adrian
