Wow, where was I????

Maybe just as well, could see myself being banned form both forums, and expelled from the ICB

To lighten the mood, have a listen to this song on YouTube by a folky songsmith called Eric Bogle. It's all about the way meaning of words have changed. Referencing back to the meaning of scribes etc.

Happy days, with love and peace in our hearts

Bill

Looks like it's time for a new avatar too by the looks of things

In an unusual move for the site owners, the management of BKN have just released this video press release in relation to their view of my role as a site expert and moderator.

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it

[Unless of course you are a moderator]

Eric Bogle is a Scot that emigrated to Australia, so he can make reference to caber tossing.

So that's where "The moving finger" comes from.

Any time I've seen repeats of a certain episode of The Big Bang Theory I've often wondered. How uneducated I am.

Probably the funniest thing on TV at the moment, and remember that episode well.

Heartbroken to find out Kaley Cuoco got married last December. Only spotted it in the credits on Thursday crying.gif

Knew the saying but cant lay claim to "knowing" where the it came from but there is a bit of a parody as the author Omar Khayyam was a bit of a multi tasker himself,  being a polymathphilosopher, mathematicianastronomer and poet.

Wonder what he called himself. Bet couldn't do bookkeeping biggrin

I follow her on Twitter so already knew this. It's also how I found out Victoria Coren got married to David Mitchell. Another devastating day.

Yeah I like David Mitchell too...also devastated!

I used to love to watch her dad and Sandi Toksvig on 'Call My Bluff'...even funnier than 'Big Bang' may I suggest before Kris puts his 'soft kitty' tea shirt back on!

Devastating news twice in one week. To make another quote "What else was there for me to do but cry" (E Presley)

Hi Neil, good to be back, and hopefully I can spend a bit more time here.

You've also been conspicuous by your absence. Nice to see you about too.
