P11Ds - love them or hate them?

Okay everyone, be completely honest now.  How many of you that have to do them, don't mind P11Ds?  Even with dispensations for all the routine stuff and with very few entries to make just for the directors, I still hate them with a passion.  Just about to press the send button on mine so all over for another year.......clap.gif

Many years ago when I had a proper job, I had to complete about 200 of the bloody things, because my boss wouldn't fill in the dispensation forms. There was an elite group of longstanding employees who had dispensations, but he wouldn't add to the list, even though most people qualified. Of course that made the job even worse, because we had to pick out the forms for this elite and treat them differently!

So you can imagine my opinion of them!

See the need for them if you have benefits which have a Class 1A NIC liablity but for expenses repaid that dont have any Class 1A NIC liability just a waste of time as just a paper exercise.

I only have a few that clients say they have to do as most clients probably dont understand what needs to be declared.  I sent them all an email explaining when to be done to cover myself if they ever come back saying I didnt tell them.

Regards

Mark
