Nominal codes for web hosting and all that goes with it!
Permalink Closed

          Hello

I have just started posting financial charges that take a percentage of each credit transaction, card machine rental, Sage Gateway for on-line payments and a web hosting fee. Whew all that just to earn a buck.

I presume the financial charges and on-line payments fee should go to 7905 and card machine rental to 7700 but I don't know which code for the web hosting.

Could anyone advise please.

I would change the telefax code to web hosting I believe it is next to the telephone code, presuming you are using sage. Or add one around there.

Dinky I believe that is for online retailers so I suppose it depends on your business

I post web charges to "web costs", which I create under "computers and software" - or, if only low amounts per year, I rename computers and software to "PC and web costs" and post it all together

Thank you all for your help.
I think I will use telegram/fax and change it to web hosting.

We have a swimming pool company, I took over the Sage books in September, we opened a shop (swim pools) in March and our on-line shop is going live shortly.
So big learning curve.
