Hi, does anyone know if 24+ loans are available for any distance learning providers? I'm looking at AAT level 3 and have only found college providers so far. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place :) Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, To accept 24+ loans a college must be registered with the Skills Funding Agency and registration with them is closed until the end of this year, so if a college is not registered now they are unlikely to be any time soon. I have just enquired whether distance learning organisations would be eligible to register under the scheme and was told that that would be found out when going through registration....very helpful indeed .
Sorry I can't provide more definitive information for you, but perhaps there's someone else in the know out there.
A number of distance learning providers do offer the 24+, off the top of my head Kaplan and BPP. Some of the smaller ones, such as ourselves and Eagle have found the bureaucracy to be accredited too much and dont offer it. We are registered with the SFA and as yet still cant offer the 24+ loan. Ring the AAT recruitment team, they are really helpful.
Good luck with your studies.
