Producing a monthly dashboard of accounts
Permalink Closed

I currently use VT Transaction +  but would like to offer my clients a dashboard, similar to those you see in cloud software, to make it easier for them to see the breakdowns.  This would be on paper, replacing the current profit and loss sheet that I send.

I've had a look round the net but can't find anything remotely like what I am looking for, any suggestions please?

I do something very similar for my driving instructor clients. The way I do it is through excel. I have a template setup which creates graphs and nicely formatted boxes. Each month I just copy and paste that months profit and loss account.

Thanks Kris, that's the kind of thing I'm looking for, but I wouldn't know where to start on excel.  Is the template something you did yourself or is it one that's available commercially?  My clients are primarily sole traders and I think it would help them if they saw something visual rather than just a set of figures.

Have you checked out SAP lumira Kris.

I've just grabbed a free copy myself but not had chance to try it out myself yet.

Its busines information software that does the same sort of things as the reports that I produce in the day job (but I cannot afford that software so I looked for an viable alternative and this one is top quality and free... Just the combination that I like!).

Although it's a SAP product its not SAP as such and its driven through Excel Spreadsheets.

No idea at all how to use it yet but I know what I want it to produce and I know that it can so thats half the battle!

Don't know if its what you are lokking for but anything thats free (and good quality) is worth checking out,

Have fun,

Shaun.
