RTI automatic penalties will not now be applied for companies employing under 50 people until 15th March 2015

The October the 15th deadline still remains for businesses employing more than 50 people

They really should have a page - and I mean ONE page not links going left, right and centre - that details all the fines, penalties and interest in relation to RTI.

I originally thought the penalties for late PAYMENT was being delayed until October - but no, they've been there since the start of the year. It's just that the first late payment you get away with. 1-3 late payments get a penalty of 1%, 4-6 gets a 2% penalty etc etc. I was getting mixed up with late SUBMISSION of each payroll details (FPS). I miss the days when things were on paper and you didn't have to click links for each paragraph.

Rant over - I'll go back to trying to read till printouts that have been left in the sun.

Thanks Shaun for the info and good point Rob. Also - what if it goes to 51 but then back to 49?

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
