Balance Sheet Question - Capital Accounts
Permalink Closed

Hi,

I'm confused in part by accounting and in part due to the logic of the software Im using (Solar Accounts - if anyone has ever heard of it).

Basically I did the book for a hair dresser last year and this year I need to take the BS value up to the Opening Balance of the 'Capital Account As At 2014' this balance sheet figure is £17,566.  I have entered the opening balance against this ledger of £17,432 from 2012.  Currently in Solar accounts I the Capital Account As At 2014' is £17,432.  I can't change the opening balance as this would be incorrect?

Can someone shed some light on this for me? I'm guessing I need to post a double entry to the equity accounts but not sure of the double entry?

Any advice very welcome.

Thanks

Jay
