Allowed Motor Expense for childminder
Permalink Closed

Can someone please tell me what a child-minder can claim in relation to motoring expenses? Including the reliefs for the purchase of the car specifically for the use of child-minding, but also used for private use.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Car expenses will be much like any other business so you have a choice of 45p per mile (make sure a mileage log is kept). Or you can claim actual costs and capital allowances dependent on CO2 emissions. There are lots of generous expenses you can claim for child minders, check out NCMA for a list of what can be claimed.
