I wonder if there are any training companies in UK that teach international financial reporting standards? Well, I think I heard somewhere that you need to complete three years of work in accountancy field before you can take this course but I am not sure if this is true. Please, share any details if you know the subject.
All of the professional accountancy bodies from AAT up teach IFRS rather than UKGAAP (then again UKGAAP is being replaced by IFRS cunningly disguised as FRS102).
If you want good reasonably priced books try the Kaplan ACCA study texts for papers F7 and P2 (about £35 each although you can find them closer to £30). Much cheaper than the books by Deloit, Wiley and LexisNexis.
There's a dummies guide to IFRS by Steve Collings which is pretty good.
Also you have all of the standards freely available from the FRC site plus short highlights available on the deloitte site.
Personally I try to read four standards a week on a loop (financial instruments standards excepted) so that nothing slips. Its not a bad habbit to get into.
Have you found a focus for your studies yet as you seem a little lost as to which way to turn. I know that you started off by looking at ACCA but I get the impression that you have abandoned that one.
Have you thought about taking a step back and starting with AAT? It will take 2-3 years, a lot of work and at level IV you get to study IFRS (although not the full set).
Nick Craggs is going to be running a roadshow and it might be a sound idea to pop along to one of those meetings to have a chat.
Just a thought,
kind regards,
Shaun.

thanks Shaun for reply. At the moment I am going through aat lectures on opentuition. I also use two books from osbournebooks and I am buying soon a book that you recommended from amazon. The reason why I asked about ifrs training companies is that one day I would like to go back to my country, hopefully. I don't have a chance to find employment in my homeland in companies that use polish law because I have no training in this field. There is growing number of companies in my country that do ifrs. If I did some courses here on ifrs maybe I could find employment doing ifrs in my homeland after I am back there. I don't think that seriously about ifrs now since I learn aat stuff but in a couple of months or later I think I will.
I decided to do AAT stuff on my own, from the books because I find it easy enough to learn it without the assistance of a tutor. I decided I will go for ACCA as far as tutored course is concerned. It is more difficult stuff and hard to master on your own. They have ACCA center in Manchester. This is twenty minutes by train from Wigan where I live at the moment.
Is Nick Craiggs doing lectures on AAT or ACCA?
I heard about roadshows that deal with accountancy lectures but don't know details . Do you know any websites where I can learn more about roadshows?
I bought Sage course from training link. I received books and software today.
