This is a fantastic opportunity to become a Financial Controller which will require the individual to get hands-on and develop the Management Reporting for the Business.
Preparation of annual budgets
Year End procedures including preparation of audit pack
Provide insightful financial input into monthly financial reporting requirements
Production of monthly management accounts
Work in progress (WIP) accounting and cost management
Cost of Sales validation
Sales/margin analysis and overhead schedules
Profitability analysis and performance reporting by job
Ongoing review of key accounting areas including stock, accruals, debtors & creditors
VAT, EC Sales and Intrastat returns
Systems improvements
Ad hoc projects to support the Finance Director
The Successful Applicant
The successful Financial Controller will be a driven, self-starter with a continuous improvement approach to their work.
Your profile;
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Experience of a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Solid management accounting experience.
Excellent analytical, numerical and problem solving skills.
High proficiency in excel and PowerPoint is ideal.
A "can do" attitude, always looking to improve the status quo.
A desire, and a will, to be best in class.
Flexibility to cope with peaks in workload around month end.
What's on Offer
This Financial Controller role attracts a salary of c. £45,000.
