Student Loan repayment

Hi,

Have a new client who has sent me his Student Loan statement.  On self-assessment it says if deductions have been made by employer to put amount in box.  On P45 there are no amounts showing which means no deductions have been made.  I have ticked the box on Andica Self-assessment to say he has Student Loan but nothing about how much is owing etc.  How is this dealt with regards paying off the loan?  Never had to deal with Student Loans before.  I am his agent so could phone HMRC but thought I would ask on here first.

Elaine

Not sure what you are actually asking here Elaine, but my mastery of the English language is failing me this week so apologies if I'm being silly. Can't you expand?

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
