Hi All,

I had a request from a mortgage broker for a SA302 for one of my clients, normally you have to request this from HMRC and it can take a couple of weeks to arrive in the post.

I have just spoken to HMRC and as from January this year, an agreement had been accepted for the downloaded version of a clients SA to be allowed.

This makes things so much easier and quicker all round.

Just wanted to share this update.

Julie

Wonder if all the mortgage brokers will realise this and accept it. Thanks for the update.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

I've just applied for a mortgage myself through Halifax and they insisted that I had an actual SA302 as opposed to a printout from the website, although they ended up accepting a faxed copy with my UTR blanked out?!?!?! Seems daft!
