HMRC Technical Issues

Hi,

Is anybody else having trouble submitted RTI? I keep getting a message in Moneysoft saying HMRC are having technical issues and RTI data is not being accepted or not being responded to.

That's odd - I had no trouble whatsoever submitting one at 3 minutes to midnight.

Yes, you're right, that is odd - you doing wages at 3 minutes to midnight.

The messages on the HMRC site indicated they affected some but not all......probably a volume thing so maybe 3 minutes to midnight is the perfect time. Not that I would chance it on the last day with the bad luck run I'm having at the mo. Although I almost completely forgot to do a payroll run until about 10pm on the last day last week.....early onset forgetfulness!

Out of curiosity Joanne where is the service update on the HMRC website (I can't see it)

And what happens if this isn't fixed by Friday, do I just go ahead and send the RTI submissions and hope for the best?

Here is the link Georgie. On this occasion it says submit once and you will get acknowledgement idc, to not keep submitting. Seems like an intermittent issue so you might find it drops through to HMRC in the wee small hours. I would keep a screenshot of what you send and this link update as proof in case of problems past your deadline. Hope that helps

Thanks Joanne,

It appears to be working at the moment, so have sent quite a few!
