Submissions of Returns to HMRC
Permalink Closed

Good morning.

Not a  major problem by any means but when I submit returns to HMRC ( via taxcalc) the response time now takes ages. I am sure that it used to be accepted within a few seconds.

I am only doing single submissions and have tried at various times of the day with similar results.

Does anyone else have a similar problem?

Thank you

Jay

Now 6 weeks after full knee replacement. Off crutches, using a  single stick for walking outside. Still painful, ( maybe that's why I am a bit grumpy- sorry)

Hi Jay
There was a problem with PAYE a few weeks ago which some people encountered quite a lot but others didnt have a problem with at all - at least HMRC did actually update it this time on their service availability pages. Have you checked on there for anything?

Everyone is having a grump this week at some point or other methinks, so dont worry about it! Keep up with the exercises and all will be well again very soon. My Dad had it done and almost got full maneuverability back when he came out of hospital, didnt need any physio but then we thought we were going to lose him whilst he was still in hospital and he ended up stuck in there for two weeks, whilst everyone else left after 24-48 hours with their new knees.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

Many thanks for your kind words.

I'm pleased to hear your Dad is doing so well. I found it quite painful but compared to the problems before the surgery Its a real improvement.
I hope to have enough bend on the knee to get back on my cycle again at some time.

However I do wonder what my clients would think when they see me at my enclosed desk with my old fashioned shirt and tie, but under the desk I am in shorts to avoid any friction on the scar.

Best wishes

Jay
