It's handy - because now it won't cost me a penny to look up the home address of the director of the company next door to where I am today, in order to go and park on his driveway.
(Because he seems to think it's okay to park in our spaces - which amounts to the same thing - so he obviously won't have a problem with me doing that.)

Well, I don't think I've seen (m)any posts from you for a while, so I thought perhaps you had - aren't the nights something like six months long as far North as you are? :p

That they are. I've been working on an exciting opportunity, and I'm really bad at keeping a secret so thought it best to stop posting for a wee while. I have been watching though, or at least I thought I had been.
Come on then, spill the beans. Have you finally taken the plunge and set up your own BKPR professional body in competition to the ICB?
Have you established Ayrshire as a tax haven?
Good to have you back on site matey,
all the best,
Shaun.
p.s. I try to read every post on the site but even I miss the odd one (generally if they have Sage in the title)
p.s.2 lol on the parking Vince

Fear not for the tax haven Kris, I was reading BBC news yesterday and Alex Salmond was all over it saying that the Scottish People got it totally wrong at first time and they would just keep redoing the test until they got it right!... I may have paraphrased that somewhat but that seems the general sentiment.
Glad to hear your cunning plans are dropping into place Kris. Wishing you every success in your venture,
Shaun.

Youve been very good at keeping a secret as despite Shaun's question you are still keeping quiet. Sounds very intriguing and Im dying to know! When will you be able to spill?

Great to find sites with so many useful resources though I believe they are not the only ones: http://www.bizdb.co.uk/article/key-data-on-uk-companies-can-now-be-yours-for-free/
I haven't yet had the opportunity to actually compare the number of documents offered but since they probably come from the same source I'd guess that both the quality and quantity should be the same.
I would normally say that we will be getting all the necessary documents and filing for free now, but I believe there was some fuss not so long ago about Duedil charging for such documents. Is it still true?
Im not sure if I am missing something here or not. Ive never really used Duedil much and tbh wouldnt look at BizBD when we can now access the Co House Beta site - that is all free, no limits, all bang up to date. The only potential added extra that these some other sites might provide is by way of Director information (if they are trawling and providing data from other sources as well) but Ive long doubted much of the data as its nowhere near as up to date as it could be. Certainly in my experience on the standard business data, most of them didnt update their data for a good couple of months after Companies House did, even crucial data on strike offs etc.
I put a Co House monitor on those that I am interested in these days - thats free too.

A couple of months is probably good, I've seen some sites a year or more behind. The best one I have found (other than the companies house beta) is companycheck dot co uk. It's quite informative on Directors as well.
