can I register employees from back date

hello,

I have 4 employees registered in my company since april 2013 and I am paying their NI and everything. In april 2014 five more employees joined me but for some reason I was unable to registered them with HMRC. Now my question is can I register those 5 employees from back date which is april 2014? I am happy to pay their NI since then and any penalty applied ? 

your quick advice will be appreciated.

Hi, I would suggest you ring HMRC for advice. The sooner the better in light of your oversight. They are there to help you and I have found them to be a godsend recently with one or two of my wayward customers !
